Perhaps, as I have mentioned to Kim, these three (3) piece wheels need some Prevenative Maintenance annually. Maybe check the torque specs annually? About 48 bolts, how long can that take? Just my humble opinion.

Annual torque check on the three piece wheels? Any other special preventative checks recommended for these type of wheels?

Thank you for the kind words. There is a secton on the Kinesis Motorsport web site that goes into some of the basics of the care and feeding of race wheels. http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/carerace.htm

Also there is a section for care of Kinesis Wheels in general.

What are the torque specs for 3 piece wheels? I know it should only be done by the factory, but I can't see how it can hurt UNLESS you over torque them.

Jeff,
FWIW the BBS wheels have a torque setting of 145 inch/lbs.
See this post on the race board.

Thanks Greg, That seems to be in line with what Kim said...15 ft. lbs. Now that I have a "reliable" car, I have plenty of time at the track to check things like these. 2 DE days at MO and 2 race days. Only opened the hood to check the oil! Didn't even bleed the brakes until last night......
