Default Does anyone have a lead on a clean coupe in a traditonal color?

Hello, all,

A friend from the local PCA is looking to buy a 993, preferably a C2S, in a traditional color such as silver, black, white (not crazy about red) that has been well-maintained, has roughly 30k-50k miles and will go in the low $30's. Location is unimportant.

Weren't the C2S' later in the model run i.e. 97-98? If so, is the low $30K range reasonable or pipe-dreaming?

If anyone has any leads, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hey Mark,

I'm no expert of course...but I think a '97-98 C2S with that low a mileage for the low 30's is unattainable. I've been keeping my eye out on the market and C2S's are going for low to high $50k's and sometimes $60k's if mileage were really low. Low 30's may be able to get him in a nice narrowbody tho.

Wish him luck for us and have him join us in this forum even if he doesn't have a 993 yet.

For the mileage you are quoting, add $10k. I wouldn't let mine (57k) go for much less than $40k unless I was hard up.
Hope your friend finds his car.

Hi Mark.

Maybe if he ups the mileage on the car to 75k-100k miles, he may find a car in the lower 30's. I hope he finds a nice high mileage one for a song. Love that split back grill. I paid $40500 15 months ago for a 96 C4S, so he MAY find the car he wants in the low 30's but it's going to have ALOT of miles.

It's odd how the 97 Convertibles are always the cheapest way to get into a 1997 993. The widebodies are substantially more. The cheapest 97 C4S on cars.com is still $38900 (45k Miles).

There are no C2S's that are cheaper! They're holding strong on value.

Cheers,
Steve

I've been keeping my eye on this C4S posted on Ebay. It seemed like the winner got a nice deal at $40,100 for a car with a very desirable color and what looks to be in good condition.

Hey, guys,

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, that's what I thought. 97 and 98 C2S's seemed too desirable to be going for mid-30's.

Okay, I'll still take any leads for coupes in the 30's, as well as C2S's.

Thanks!

BS911: Love the red.

About the thread; in EU land, the "collectible" factor is topped by the RS. Though we own one, this is the opinion of many others.

Then, using the "collectible" factor only, it comes to the C2S then C4S then TT. The NA engines getting the nod coz of lower long term maintenance cost.

In the UK, RS's now sell for their new car price if the vehicle is pristine. C2S will prob maintain their value as mentioned earlier. Sorry
