Sorry if this is a lame question, I just need to know which Brey-Krause fire extinguisher mount will fit my car. There is one for powered seats (R-2016) and one for non-powered seats (R-2015). I do have the two powered adjustment buttons on the side of the seat (up/down/tilt), but then the fore-aft and the rake adjustment is manual. The car is a '95 993 Coupe...

So what I'm confused about: is there another "fully powered" seat that B-K is referring to, or does mine require the powered seat fire extinguisher mount?

I used the 2016 with my Sport Seats, they are power tilt only like yours.

I'm trying to get around admitting I already bought the R-2015...I'll probably end up trading it in for a R-2016. Thanks for the offer, I would take it off your hands if I didn't already have the other one. I'll make sure it doesn't fit before I return it.

This mount works fine for either type. The forward travel is somewhat limited but most passengers want the seat as far back anyway . . .

The 2016 is for the 8-way power seat (slide, tilt, rake). The bow of the 2016 accomodates a motor that sits right under the front edge of the seat cushion. The 2015 wouldn't allow such a seat to mov very far forward at all.

IIRC the sport seats on my 96 had no such motor, so your 2015 should work. The full power seats on my 951 required the 2016. FWIW, neither will work on the SRD.

You might want to start a new thread.
I don't know if there is clearance for these bottle mounts after the GT3 seat goes in.

Dang nice seat though...a little expensive, if it had recline I would cut a check this second.

 

Ya know, the 2015 might work with the Recaro base. The problem with the 2016 is that the gussets where the piece mounts to the seat are in the way. I go by OG Racing once a week, will have to take my 951 over to check a 2015.

Not sure about the GT3 seats - if they mount like the stock ones the 2015 could work there, too.
