The rear setup should have an adjustable spring perch with a locking collar, both C-spanner type adjustable. The sway bar mount is itself threaded, therefore needs only a locking collar. Anything less than that is NOT kosher (excuse the expression, but you know what I mean), and will cause problems. I am sure there is a supplier short shipping here, and I bet its not Gert!
HTH, cheers, Maurice

I think we need pictures, people. If anyone else can get under their car and snap some - I think it'd help out the discussion...

If you go back to the original post and look at the picture, you will see what the problem is. Depending on the particular drop link in use and the angle of the link to the bracket, the force on the drop link is acting to loosen the bracket away from the lock ring on one side of the car and acting to tighten it against the lock ring on the other side.
Although you can reduce the rotating force by positioning the mount so the drop link is more in-line with the shock body, the only real solution is to put the lock ring under the mount on the appropriate side of the car. Which side depends on the sway bar and drop link combination you are using. There is not a lot of clearance for the ring on some types of mount so you may need to grind down the ring.

Further, in a set up where the spring perch serves as the lock ring, you will need an extra ring to put below the mount on the critical side. Or just "moose" them down really hard!

Sorry, I didn't get to read this thread until now. But, I see that the bottom spring perch is installed upside down on Sean's car. The drop link bracket is supposed to act as a locking nut when the perch is installed correctly. Here's how mine is installed and I've had no problems whatsoever.

Oh man...I'm gonna get burned for this but here goes...
I actually installed the FRONT spring perch upside down ON PURPOSE. Why? Well for one thing it has no chance of binding on a locking collar groove & it also provides a more stable platform for the spring. If you think about the way these things are engineered, upside down, right side up shouldn't matter. They're all threaded to rotate the same direction.
Viken, your picture is what I was after. Thank you. It appears that I'm indeed not missing any parts. However, in my case, the threads aren't binding well enough keep the collar from rotating under load. I think that I'm going to have to get another collar either on top or below the drop link mount to get it secure for sure.
