You might be better off just buying a set of four of something else. S-02's suck.

And, don't even think of getting the S-03 'cause they suck even more.

Think of getting a set of Pirelli PZero Assimetricos 'cause they don't suck.

Here's what the faq says:
6. TIRES: Endless threads and topics!!!
From what I have gathered:
A. Best street tire for the dry and track/DE work on street tires= Pirelli P-Zero.
B. Best all around tire: S02 and S02'A. People here tend not to really like the new S0-3.
C. Best R-Compound tire: Michellin Pilot Sport Cup. Our "expert" racers here swear by it and tests confirmed it. Another favorite is the Kumho types for their low price and good traction. The latest polls show that although the Michellin is more expensive on the long run they last longer hence you will save money.

Is it time to update it? I just ordered S02 rears as my fronts still look close to new.

Randy,

If it's not too late, see if you can change your order. They really do suck. Switch to something else (anything else, just about), and you'll see the difference.

Uh... the S-02A is NOT in the same league as the other two. It is a MUCH better tire than either one of those two that suck.

Im really happy with my Michelin Pilot Sport NO version tires. Great looks, great traction...a little on the pricey side...

Correction, They are in my garage. My fronts still have alot of meat left. They have about 7-8K miles on them so I figured I'd wear both the front and my new rears out at about the same time. I could be wrong but I've heard that the S02's are pretty good in the rain which is always a consideration here in Oregon. Both front and rears are (N2) if it makes any difference.
I have been wanting to try out something else though....

I think some of the confusion between the S-02 and S-02A is that Tirerack doesn't have a picture of the S-02A. I can't find a picture of them. Tried the Bridgestone site a while back and they weren't even mentioned.

Oh, looks are important now? I didn't realize that. BTW, I disagree with you on the traction part. If you think the PS-N0 has great traction, you are not driving your car hard enough. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Viken

You are an amazing resource. How many photos do you have on your computer? Or are you just the search king?

Thanks for all you've done for Rennlisters over the years.
