Yeah I hate to say I told you so but I'd have to agree they are far from what makes a 993 or even a 964 special yes it's cool hands down but
realistically your not gonna catch me dropping any where near that level of coin on a 993 so they need not worry about me !
LOL , Bert

I don't get the "restomods" that try to turn an old car into a state-of-the-art hypercar. I do get restomods that take a car from the 60's or 90's and give it some modern performance upgrades. But if you want a state of the art hypercar, there are many to choose from and I'm sure they're more reliable, better engineered, and higher performance than this one. The charm of a 993 isn't that is has 700hp and crazy styling. That's the charm of a Turbo S or Ferrari. So you take a 993, strip out all the stuff that makes it special, and built it into a McLaren. Then why not just get a McLaren? Why not put 700hp and laser lights and diffusers on a 356? What is the point of this car?
It doesn't look like traditional Porsche anymore. Especially from the rear.
And the modern cars have all the electronic suspensions, launch controls, etc.
This is manual transmission, modern car performance (actually MORE than that) and classic 993 looks (it still has all the classic lines with a few radical twists).
If I had the money, I'd buy this car.
Maybe YOU don't like it. But these will all be sold out in a minute.
"What's the point of this car"? Hmm... the better question would be "why not"? According to response, a lot of people seem to love it.

Interesting car for sure. Regardless of the actual technical improvement the flat fan is a big selling point (in the same way as the fan in the T50 from Gordon Murray). Would definitely like to see more of the engine, and the packing of the turbos and the intercoolers.

Built 4.0 Engine. Garrett Ball Bearing Turbo's, Rods, Pistons and a whole bunch of other stuff. Rear end is 3" wider on each side all metal fabrication. Front is 2" wider on each side Carbon Fiber. Built by Protosport NJ a Protomotive Dealer. I can go on and on. Here's a shot of the interior.

The question is; are the GW cars nostalgic enough or are they just new? - right?
