Carlos,

You can use hiway 46 to get from the 5 to the 101 at Paso Robles. A couple of miles south of Paso Robles, hiway 41 (I think) takes you to Cambria. I hearby claim you as a SoCal team member.

Anyone from the Northern contingent thinking of heading down Friday? I'm thinking that driving down Saturday morning and arriving at noon means an early departure (I'm not a morning person) and not much time for activities Saturday.

My wife and I are thinking about going down Friday evening which would leave more time for Hearst Castle, wine tasting and the "rumble".

While it looks like the Southerners may outnumber us, I'm still looking forward to whooping their butts. At what, I don't know, but I thought it sounded like the proper attitude for a "rumble". Maybe telling tall tails (never lies) about our cars and driving skills or the beer that OFE will be buying us.

I'm really sorry guys but most probably I will not be able to make it to the "rumble".

My best friend just bought a house and he's asking me to help him moving that weekend.

Have a lot of fun and please take lots of pics

Tom, mapquest says 3.5 hrs from San Mateo so even if we leave at 8am Saturday, we should be there with time to spare....

I've been really busy at work, so I may need more help to organize this thing. Meantime, Bruce at Wheel Wax sent be a bunch of product (a little to try out, and the rest to give away at the "rumble"). What a generous gift! Thank you Bruce. We'll be able to have 5 different winners... so you guys think of the catagories (best 17" factory wheels, best 18" factory wheels, best aftermarket wheels, another one, and grand prize winner? You guys can help make suggestions for catagories. Your ideas are way better than mine. This event is picking up some steam. HELP!!!!

I am trying to talk my brother into joining us on this ride and meeting me in Cambria. He lives in Reno and probably would trailer the car to the Bay Area and than drive down the coast. The only problem is he does not own a 993. He has 996 cab and a Ferrari 360 Modena. He would like to take the Ferrari on the drive. Should he just come down by himself or would anyone mind if he joined a group up near the bay area. I'm pushing the Ferrari cause I'll get to drive it when we meet up.

Hell, as far as I'm concerned, he can bring his Ferrari. I just happen to love those things...

Well it looks like it would probably be a better idea to bring the 996. He still has not committed to going, his son is playing college baseball and if they continue in the playoffs he will have to attend a game that weekend. In the event they lose before than is there a meeting point coming from the Sacramento area?

I'll be coming in from Redlands on the 10. I've not yet looked at a map. Any suggestions for the best meeting place for me to hit?

Don C,

Interstate 10 actually turns into PCH at the Mclure tunnel. Just keep on driving (10 miles or so) up the PCH to Malibu. Meet up with the Malibu crew.
