Hey guys... I need help. I need a coordinator for each meeting point. Someone volunteered for Malibu, but we need a coordinator for San Diego, Orange County, and Ventura. We need somebody to figure out the departure time from each meeting point to get to Taco Temple (Morro Bay) by around noon. Please.

I might suggest Krispy Kreme at the "BLOCK"in Orange for the O.C. crowd.The O.C. POC gang gathers there the 3rd Sat. of each month to kick tires.It is right at the intersection of the 5,22,and57 freeways.The San Diego gang could meet us there around 6:00 and we could be in Malibu by around 7:00.Just an idea.....Dane

Thanks Dane... would you please be the coordinator for the Orange County group? Ultimately, all the coordinators need to swap cell phone numbers, so we can track the arrivals and departures.

Sounds easy enough.....Does Krispy Kreme work for most of you in the O.C.area?I know 6:00 is an early departure,but without traffic it should take about an hour into Malibu.It would be great if the San Diego gang could join us,but I know that is REALLY early.I guess it's not to soon to maybe start planning...

I've volunteered to organize the Malibu group. According to Mapquest, its about 190 miles and 3 1/2 hours to get to the Taco Temple. However, I doubt that mapquest is giving us the most enjoyable route -- if anyone has a route suggestion, I'd welcome it. (options as I see them are cut over malibu hills to the 101, or drive up 1 for a while before cutting over to the 101, or just take 1 all the way).
Regardless, assuming its going to be about 3 1/2 hours, and we'll need about 30 minutes to get organized before leaving, this points to a gathering time of around 7:45 a.m.
As we get a bit closer, I'll try and organize a list of who is going to meet us in Malibu so that we don't leave anyone behind. Once everyone on the list is assembled, we will head off.

Thanks for helping out. Are you going to use that Von's market (Sunset & PCH) as the meeting point? Allow a little extra time to gather the Ventura guys. We'll head over by Lake Cachuma on the way up, but that should't add any time. When we get closer to 6/5, I'll need you cell phone number.
