Default Bilstein pss10

I have some new bilstein pss10 but they didn’t come with any instructions. I have the old top mounts as per photo which I have just removed. I will look to replace them before I install but my question is what from the old suspension do I use and also where to the silver caps go? Any advice on how to install the top mounts please? Thanks

Here some pics of my old PSS10s
glad to hear your getting all new top mounts as well. You only want to do this and the alignment once. Old rubber won’t do new shocks justice.

Edit: I think it’s only the front top mounts that go in one way ( biased front rear) but I’ll check. I seem to remember a L/R marking on rear top mounts

Yes, they do have a L and R marking and while the top mounts are splayed out, my old ones were installed L to left and R to right like this

I’m standing to the rear of the car/ shocks in this pic

Thanks - assume I use the new gold collar in the photos that came with the bilstein? Pretty sure that would be the case but better to check than be sorry. As you say I do not want to do this a second time

Yeah, I replaced them but not sure they’re a wear item. If you have them might as well use them. At least you’ll know its shiny back there
new nuts though to make it easier to remove when it’s time
