Got my 18's !!
Received my 18's today. Immediately put them on.
I had previously touched up the center caps, and refinished the lugs in a metallic silver to match the wheels.
Photos do not do the change justice, but going from the stock 16's made a huge difference in the stance/proportions of the car.
Not to mention the better view of the cross-drilled rotors.
Thanks for all of the info in the various posts.
By the way, the rears are 285/30's, and while a tight fit, I have not had any rubbing problems (suspension is stock).

I know, I know. Too high.
But, since I got the wheels, I had to purchase new familyroom furniture (wife wants things balanced).
So if I get new suspension, it will cost me thousands ('cause more furniture or something will have to be purchased!)

what are you doing with your extra set of 16's? Mine is one of the few others riding on 16's

Regarding the old 16 inch wheels: My son has a '93 bmw 3 series, haven't tried to see if they might fit (not sure if by chance the bolt patterns are the same, or if the off-sets will allow fitment).
Otherwise, any suggestions? Planters for the yard, tables for the basement?

actually if you plan on driving in winter I would keep them for winter tires. If not let me know what you think they are worth, maybe I can scrape enough up for a track set. We don't have winters down here

Porsche wheels don"t fit on a BMW.
I was riding my bike from the office to the gym yesterday when I spotted a 964 Turbo wheel hung on a wall and in use as hose reel... :-)
That leaves you only three planters.
