link? pics? description of the conversion available anywhere?
(while i agree it shouldn't be done, i feel like if you're going to do it an old 912 is probably the best 911-ish EV conversion platform)

The car was listed on Autotrader. The listing doesn't say anything about being electric. My understanding is the dealer sent it out and had the conversion done. It took about 6 months.

Something like this? https://www.autoblog.com/2021/05/28/...ev-conversion/
I personally think that this is not a good idea on existing 911 chassis - Motor and battery placement and weight is different from ICE + fuel tank and transmission. Porsche designed Tucson from the ground up for that reason (install of making 992 variant with EV). Same as decision with new Cayman / Boxster with EV only.

Why??? for $150K you could buy a Tesla and a 993. My wife just got a Model Y, and since we have had it, the 993 feels a bit sluggish by comparison, however, the 993 was never about straight line acceleration. They are completely different, both fun to drive, albeit in different ways. I still have the 993 looks and EV performance, just in different cars, not the same one.

no way. no how. makes about as much sense as putting a 993 motor in a tesla. NOT!

i saw a guy who got an old tesla with a waterlogged, dead battery.
it was like $40k for a new one so he pulled out the electric drivetrain and put in a chevy big block.
