Stability is a concept applied towards the entire car, rather than just one end vs. the other. If your car already has the turbo front spoiler as supplied by the factory, but not the tt tail, perhaps this is a case where it's not enough of a difference to be material.
I know other people who's installed an aggressive front OR rear spoiler have discovered the merits of making changes to the downforce at front AND rear at the same time.

Just my $0.02
After installing the turbo front bumper cover and the turbo tail on my narrow body 993 I didn't discover any significant down force.
The results I noticed after the install were:
(1). People always thinks my car is a turbo, often turbo guys will come up to me and say... Yeah I have a turbo just like yours....
(2). Stupid Mustang, and Camero kids don't rev their engine anymore when stopped next to me at the light.

That's reason enough for me to remove my turbo tail.

The look of the tail is a subjective thing, to be sure. From my perspective, having coming from a '85 Turbolook, I like the tail, and am glad I put mine on. (It is the Turbo S tail.) As they are so easy to swap off and on, go for it and try it on for looks. Put a big towel on the back window area and one person can do the swap pretty easily.
If you are concours oriented, I can tell already it is going to be a real PIA, but I'll worry about that when I get to Boise.

Somehow, supercups seem to have the same effect.
Although Jeff's idea of removing the TT wing (when you in fact have a TT) is a great one, those poor bastards are in for a great surprise! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

I seem to remember somebody actually doing that. They liked the lines of the traditional 993, but wanter the power of the TT.
I think that mounter the intercooler on it's side somewhere. I can only imaging how dimished the performace would be.
I guess if you have the money, anything is possible!

Question from tailess C4S in Ann Arbor.
So does the factory TT tail fit in the slot vacated by the moveable wing or does it afix to its own rear decklid?

The factory Turbo tail is its own decklid (one piece).

As a very obscure aside, I read in a Porsche history book that years ago, one of the Porsche family members really wanted a 930 but did not like the way the tail detracted from the smooth lines of the car (subjective, yes). So Ferry Porsche had a 930 built with lowered boost so that an intercooler and turbo tail were not needed (this was after the IC was added to the 930 line).

FYI,
At least RUF has made a 911 turbo where it had two intercoolers on both sides of the engine, maybe soe others have done it too, I'm not sure.
