Ft Lauderdale to Leicester, Mass. 1500 miles with the top down.
The only problem was stowing the bags of oranges and grapefruit.

Picked up my TT in New Jersey, drove it straight home to south florida. Made the trip in record time. especially during the late evening hours the drive became quite fast. When I started the trip I was missing my 993 which I had just sold. By the time I left Jersey and reached Pa. I had forgotten about that car.

Portland to the Bay Area, 640 miles. The only issue was one speeding ticket.

o.k. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in a different thread but what the heck:

Last November, friday after thanksgiving.... flew out to LAX one way from chicago to pick up sight unseen 90K mile speed yellow 95 993 and drove home 2200+ miles in 3 days arriving back in chicagoland on that following Sunday afternoon around 3pm (leaving LAX around 3pm on Friday)

NO Problems whatsoever -- except ONCE the infamous clutch pedal stuck to the floor and had to be lifted up that was a scare but an easy quick fix.

...even had tools with on the trip that were never needed...

Wow, we travel and look far for our cars. I thought flying to Sanoma to pick up my car was a stretch. It was only 500 miles.

[i]The drive from Haifa to my home in Jerusalem was unforgetable. I took all known back roads, stopping off in a Druze village for lunch, and may have broken a few speed limits en route. Back then, in 1996, my 993 was the only one of its kind in Israel since there was not yet an official Porsche dealer. [/B]
Funny, I drove the same Haifa - Jerusalem backroads at the same time at the end of 1996 breaking speed limits. In a rounded car with flared back end

Mine was about 40 miles, Whittier to S. Orange County!

As others reported, no problems on the trip. However, on the first weekend on ownership, the CEL came on. PO never saw it

We looked at cars in L.A. while we were on vacation in March and then when I sold my 993 three weeks ago we drove to SeaTac area to look at cars from autotrader. We found the nicest car in Portland on our way home only about 165 miles.
But had we not been shopping the Washington cars we would not have realized what a nice car we found in PDX.

Well my story is a bit different, I bought a Jaguar and Ferrari from Ferrari of San Antonio/Barrett Jaguar at the same time (12/2000) and had to trade my Mercedes in. I drove with a friend from NYC/NJ to San Antonio in my 1987 Mercedes 560SEL, looked over the Ferrari Testarossa I bought and drove back in the Jaguar XJ6 I bought. I then traded in my Jaguar in for a Honda Odyssey, I drove my Jaguar to Chicago and pick up a brand new Honda Odyssey (01/2004). As for my P-Car I bought it sight unseen from a private party through a broker. thre broker also sold my car to a person in Chacago and the PO of my 993TT lived in Pleasanton, CA. So the car carrier came and dropped off my 993TT at my house and picked up my Testarossa. I really enjoy driving and always felt that I did not have the bonding time with my 993TT (during the drive home), so we are bonding now.

My wife and I covered almost 1800 miles driving ours from Cortland, NY to Houston in two days last summer. I even let her drive once -- for an hour! The only downside was getting my doors blown off by a Z06 on its way to Nashville for the 50th Anniversay festivities.

2835 miles in 3 days... SoBe to Laguna Niguel. Got pulled over 5 times for no license plates, 2 times for speeding, 1 time for illegal u-turn.

Someone on Pelican pointed out that each day's mileage was 911.6. That's pretty cool!
