I took a couple of short drives over the last couple of days with the new RS mounts.
Did not notice any difference in NVH but definitely feels more connected. Even for a person with my meager mechanical skills it is a fairly easy install and all positives, kind of a no brainer.

they want $377 each for the oem rs mounts which is $100 more than sunset. They sell kits for $379 for everything but those are listed as “club sport” and from the description, i dont think they are oem (even though they use the term oem). The price seems too low

They are Prekon parts, a Polish manufacturer who make a lot of Porsche spec suspension bits. They are not the same as the Porsche ones though. Made from aluminum and not magnesium so the experts say............................................another thread on them somewhere

I replaced mine with the kits sold on ECS several months ago, and it help corrected the shifting issue to 2nd gear. There is not noticeable NVH different as compared to my original mount.
I did look for the OEM one but the price is almost double. With the saving I've got, I get to also replace my front control arms and ball joint with new bushing (again, thanks Andreas!) + my steering bushing and also added a steering reinforcement brace (not sure why it was not there in the first place as I assume all late 1996 993 should have it).

Just got the car back from the shop.
1. Fister IIs are amazing. The hype is real. My exhaust setup is: Fabspeed Sport Cats, Fabspeed Tips, Fister II mufflers.
2. RS Motor Mounts: So far so good. The car feels more solid. Definitely shifts better. There is definitely more vibration at idle. I can feel it in the seat. Nothing crazy or annoying, but it is there. I can't really comment on increased noise from the RS mounts because the new Fister IIs ARE AMAZING.
3. The Fister IIs are amazing.

Remember, just as a point of consideration, any old/dead stock mounts are going to feel like garbage compared to RS mounts. BUT, new OE fluid mounts will feel head and shoulders better than the old dead ones while avoiding the bagaboo of additional NVH from solid mounts.
FWIW, I had replaced my motor mounts twice in its 187k miles and both times went with the OE mounts. Reason: I don't want any more NVH --no more at all-- than stock because mine is a daily driver. No, I don't want a lexus ride! This is a sports dag nabit, so is tuned like one: lowered on Pss9s, Row TT sway bars, and stock 17" Cup II with sport Contis. So it is stiff, but also reasonably compliant on road irregularities. But it is still a stiff car that handles well ...so do I really want to add any more NVH than is already there? Not for me! So I'm simply adding this in because so many go for the "ooh, stiffer ride is better and sporty" mantra until they find that that it is all cumulative, and you just turned a good all-round sports car into an uncomfortable annoyance. Heck, my SC feels like a very large skateboard and is an absolute blast to drive! But I ain't driving that one daily!![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Just sayin. Do what works for you![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I went with the Function First mounts that they describe as semi-solid. My old mounts were really shot and these did help with shifting. Very please with outcome at $325/pair.
