So I have been wondering about this topic as well. My 993 Coupe has a 1/94 build date. Does that mean that it is 1 OF 14?

You're quite welcome .

SVT,
Your car should be one of the very first '95s. Look at the VIN; if the tenth "digit" is an "S" you have a '95 model. US law, as I understand it, allows a car built in year X to be called a model year X+1. So, any car built in January of '94 can be called a '95. This is why the US '95 993 model year is so long; 1/94 through 7/95. There are some '96 Turbos, for example, that are older cars than some late-build '95 Carreras.
