100,000 miles
Accident with no details
total repaint
$125,000

So what is a clean, no stories, original paint 50,000 mile example worth? $200,000?

Thank you for your comment, yes that is what they go for.

The car is OBO, so if you are interested please make an offer, you never know.

It’s hard to command $125,000 for a car with an accident with no details, and a respray. The quick flip here may also concern some potential buyers. Have you reached out to the prior owners for any details or documentation for the respray or the accident?

You had the car inspected. We know the car need maintenance, but did the inspection reveal anything about the prior accident? A good Indy would have been all over that car to determine what precisely happened…

Thanks for the feedback, check out the “Widebody prices are up“ thread and you will quickly come to a different conclusion about the $125k ask. My tech at the dealership is top notch and factory trained, including classics. He is the only guy I have working on all of my cars. He has been through the car. Zero issues from the accident 15 years ago, paint, alignment, panels are all excellent. We identified the do do list detailed in the for sale thread. No maintenance issues just the to do list in the for sale thread. I have been enjoying the car and that’s why it needed to be cleaned up. If you want a garage queen this is not the car for you. I really appreciate the look of a Widebody and the 4S comes with all of the Turbo parts except the engine so this one at $125k is really a bargain when compared to all the $200k cars out there considering the entire package, just MHO.

The quick flip is only because I lost my storage and have a work project that is consuming most of my time. If I figure out a storage solution I will keep her.

put it on BAT! You will get all the money for it! 100k miles is nothing on these engines unless it wasn’t maintained properly then other wise be prepared to sink $20k into a Top End Rebuild and a headache.

Thanks for the comments, I have been driving her around quite a bit these past few weeks after selling both of my DD. No top end needed she runs and drives very well! All you need to do is have a look at the car and you can see she has been maintained very well. Is she perfect absolutely not and that’s why she is priced where it is instead of a $180k ask.

I have been using her as a DD this past spring and she has been fun. Found a guy in Richmond VA who makes these racks to order and asked him to put one together for the 993.

Build quality is very nice, hollow tubes make the rack light yet strong.

Very cool. What do you put in the racks?

I am going to the track this week and will haul all of my junk on the rack, cooler, chair, misc tools and a change of clothes as well as all of my gear, helmet, driving suit gloves, shoes etc.

The rack should come in quite handy.

We are picking up an old 944 S2 track/HPDE car to do a light weight Club Sport type of build for my son and the rack is already proving useful

In case you are interested these are Fuchs from a 944 Turbo S, forged, very light and strong.

I was at the track a few weeks ago with the race car and a friend mentioned that he recently sold his 6/3. He had a few leftovers including a fixed bucket seat. It was the wrong color but I had a small tear in the bolster of the comfort drivers seat in my 993 C4S, the tear was repaired by a PO but I thought a fixed bucket might be cool. Full disclosure I have a set of these in my 6/3 and love them.

The donor:

After a day in the workshop:

Installed:

Was able to hook up the seatbelt chime and it works as designed.

I will probably look around for another orphan 996 GT3 fixed bucket for the passenger seat.

Please let me know if you run across anything interesting.
