Default The new tool kit for the 993

Cross post from my IG :

Some months ago, the original tool kit for the 993 was discontinued.
Today I have received the new version which looks pretty cool and has far more special tools.
And with a handy chart that explains what these tools are for !

Here is the one from a US Dealer, but the tools in the photo don't exactly match the set that Gert offers? His set contains more tools.

Looks like 360.00 E on Gert's site.

VERY nice looking kit! It does have more tools which I have had to purchase separately, like the tools needed for fan belt replacement. I'm afraid of the price though.

The kit 911Boss linked above looks more like the stock (as supplied originally) kit.

They both have the same part number and as Gert has indicated, the original one is discontinued and the one he shows is the new one.

PCG 99372110

You can see the part number is the same on the bottom of the instruction sheet Gert posted.

$400 for a new toolkit? I better take care of mine!

Here's a better picture of it.

I love how that leather case looks but unfortunately if you're looking for originality, that wasn't stock and neither are the tools shown. At that price they're almost too nice to use.

Only time I use the toolkit is when I remove it for auto cross. I did add a 12 point to actually be able to change belts but these cars are so reliable when well maintained that the toolkit really is for show. This new one looks great!

im good with my vinyl pouch for now. New tires coming up.

I have seen pristine stock ones sell for $700-900, and the prices are going to only get higher. There is a great website on Porsche tool kits, https://www.originalporschetools.com. Covers from 356 up thru 1999. Notice the differences in the tool kits and what was included in the 1993-94, the 1995-96, and the 1997-98. There are several minor changes even in the sub groups, European and US delivered could be different yet

Super nice kit. Thanks for posting Gert. A step up from the ratty toolkit buried in my frunk.

My tool kit has expanded to quite a lot of junk in the frunk. Primarily to allow for easier belt changes if needed at the side of the road.

If that is what stock ones are selling for, this new kit would be a bargain. Use the new kit and put the original aside to preserve it's condition.
