As the cars become collector items, the originality is very important, documents showing history, pristine original items become valuable. Look at what the 356 and early 911 trinkets are going for: a small plastic Prudenz fuse pack from 1964-1976? are selling for $70-100, or screwdrivers going $150-250 each. A tool kit that does not resemble the original in anyway is nice to have and use if need be, but it will never take the place of an original kit

Gert, nice kit thanks for posting. As usual a nice product at a fair price.

I think I will buy the new kit and keep my old one stored. Great idea.

Default 993 Tool kit revised; 2021 ..

Saving the just-about-useless original '98 993 tool kit for originality. .. A fair offer @ www.carnewal.com has the new tool kit in the wind. .. Add a new DME relay and it's good to go ...

There were 3 'authentic' original tool kits produced for the 993 series from 1994-1998. Look at these in the thread and see what might be most appropriate for your year/model. Many come up on Ebay and you might find some new at certain dealers and other vendors if you are seeking an original kit.
