LOL... No. There is enough green in the 993 to offend a leprechaun.

I used an epoxy based paint for durability. I chose yellow to compliment the Arena Red. The results against stunning against black wheels. Black calipers against light colored wheels should be similar. I have a dark grey caliper in my Audi S6 with bright S6 logos and that works well too.

I was also considering Arena Red for calipers. It's an elegant choice. I wanted a bit more pop so I ended up going yellow. It's a great area to add personality without ruining the car. Don't worry about resale/OEM aspects of it all. If you choose wisely most buyers will love it too.

Update: The car is in the shop this week. Hopefully ill have it back by next week. I decided to go with the light blue color that Darin has on his car...I think it compliments the Polar Silver pretty well!

I'll post some pics as soon as I get it back....

I had these guys refinish a set of brakes for me. Calipers looked great but the finish washed right off / dissolved when it came into contact with brake fluid when I installed and bled the calipers.

After the very difficult process of stripping the calipers down using aircraft stripper I achieved very good results using VHT's Caliper spray paint and clear coat. They still looks great 3 years later:

Wanted to update everyone. Decided to go with light blue (I believe similar to Darren’s car?). I just think it goes very nicely with the polar silver.

on a side note…when the calipers are black you really can’t appreciate their size….

best pic I could get with poor lighting…

Agree how nice these brakes are to paint them something different than stock black. They are gorgeous large brakes, even if you don't have "big reds". I painted mine red and it was one of the best bling mods I've ever done. Yours look great! Don't forget to add Porsche stencil logo on them!

That’s not good! I was considering using them too. Any pics of the damage? Was their paint really so weak? It’s kind of hard to believe that their paint would be so much weaker than rattle can VHT brand.

You could order the 2S with Red Calipers as an option and i believe in 98' you could also order them yellow- So you will indeed see regular 2S brake calipers in red sometimes as factory option.

I would go with powder coat if I did it again.

If I just wanted to touch up the peeling on the face in situ and add new porsche lettering, where would I find the stencils or transfers?
