Post Any recommendations on an independent in Austin, TX for oil change?

I'm due for an oil change and would really appreciate any suggestions on an independent for an oil change. If any Rennlisters in the Austin area would consider doing an "oi change party" I'd be all over that. I must confess that I've never done one before so I'm long on enthusiasm and short on skill...

The local dealership appears to be pretty good (Roger Beasley Porsche). Well connected with the local PCA chapter. Please email me in private with any datapoints (if you'd prefer not to share them in a public forum).

Thanks.

Stay away from the dealership.

Check out a place called Moorespeed. I haven't been there, but I hear it's a reputable shop.

You're welcome to an oil change DIY tutorial, but you'd have to drive to Houston for this one.

My second was to go to Moorespeed. The price is better than the dealer, plus you get to check out some cool cars.

Rohan,

You have a PM.

Matt,

Where did you go when you still lived in Austin?

Don,

Hope you mean my car

He left and went to another place (Black Forest?), but by that time I was in the process of moving to Houston.

I’d recommend Northwest Imports

Since I moved to Austin six years ago, I’ve taken all my cars there and they have been great!
