Rick:
Is your blue turquise metallic different from Turkisk Green? I was actually going to buy a cab in Turkisk Green, but I got such a screaming deal on my Artic Silver I couldn't pass it up.

Very interesting thread and love seeing all the unusual colors popping up. It would be of great help if those of you who own these cars go back and edit their post to include the paint color code.
Outstanding looking cars.

paint code 39U
I was told that it is called 'Dark Sea Blue' in the computers at the dealer, with a 39U paint code? But I can't find that paint code anywhere on the WWW, so did they make some special order colors or something?

Far East Under,
What paint code is your car? Sorry too say it looks nothing like Cobalt which is paint code 37U. The car Max posted looks more like Cobalt in flat light. I was told 94 was the last year for Cobalt blue and they changed the color which was later released in 97 or 98 same basic color but less purple flake under a different paint code. This is my car in Cobalt blue. Sorry it is not a 993.

I got the paint code 39U off the options sticker under the hood by the latch. I called Larson Porsche here in Tacoma for the specific name of the interior color for my Lloyd mats, they asked for the VIN, and returned with the 'Exterior is Dark Sea Blue, interior is Classic Gray' answer he pulled from his computer. I've not seen this name mentioned here before, so that is why I'm wondering. I've seen mentioned things like, 'color-matched' etc around here, but usually it's in relation to a Carrera GT, or other special vehicles. I went to 'paintscratch.com'(no aff,,,) to see what was there, and they show a couple of '39' colors, and two different Iris blues, but not 39U, and only 'Dark Sea blue' is on 04-06 Cayenne. Wierd!
Thanks for any insight on this little thorn in my paw.
I will look on the sidewall next time I see the car(new roof by end of week!)

Cherner (a D.C.-area dealer) has a pastel yellow/nephrite green interior 1997 C4S. They say that it was Porsche's Detroit Auto Show car in 1997 - it has full supple leather, 'Exclusive' wood, silver gauges, stainless sills, factory highly polished Technology wheels and a factory Aerokit rear wing. It also has a TPC supercharger and intercooler. It has around 38,000 miles. Cherner has it on consignment for a local doctor. I have no affiliation with Cherner, but I thought that someone here would be interested in it. The contact info for Cherner is available at: http://www.cherner.com/classiccars/index.asp
