Default 18" Porsche Technology Wheels For Sale

The wheels are 8x18 ET 52 and 10x18 ET 40. According to the previous owner, they were on the car for less than 2000 miles and I have put another 200 miles on them. They are in perfect condition.

The wheels have Continental SportContact 2, tires mounted - sizes are 285/30 rears and 225/40 fronts. The tires have approx 1200 miles on them and are virtually new.

I purchased these last fall from a fellow rennlister for my cab.I am getting the car lowered and these wheels won't fit. They are designed with the offsets for the widebody.However..you can see by the picture they fit the narrow body, without any rubbing whatsoever.

I am asking $1400 with the tires.I can ship UPS and will advise actual freight costs to the buyer.I prefer not to split the rims and tires.Interested parties contact me by email

I am not sure how you got those wheels to not rub on a narrow body. Those will definitely rub if you corner hard!

I don't have a good answer for that.Even with 2 people in the car it doesn't come close to rubbing. But i don't drive the cab hard..that's why i have the TT.

As far as if these are hollow? I don't know the answer to that either.Perhaps someone more knowledgeable could tell me what to look for on the wheels so i could answer that.

There's a part number on the back of the hollow spokes that you can see with a small mirror and flashlight. The front should have a part number of 993.362.136.00.

Alternatively, the hollow spokes also have an all steel valve stem, where the solid spokes came with regular rubber ones.

Thanks,
Peter

my garage isn't bright enough tonight to see the part number, however the valve stems would appear to be steel.

Thankyou for the info

The Hollow Spokes (looking from the inside of the rim) are a smooth even contour....

The Solid Spokes have indented grooves in them....

Where did you get them ? Hollow spokes come standard on the 993TT...all other wide bodies in that offset are solid spokes.

I purchased them from a fellow rennlister late last fall.I found his original post, however the pictures that were online aren't there now.I'll look for those numbers tomorrow, when i can pull the car outside.

From what I remember, they were hollow spokes. The non-ridged back on the spoke and the metal valve would indeed confirm this.

the Carrera S (C2S) came with the hollow spoke 18s (technology-spoke) when they came with the 18 inch wheel option. (You don't see too many in the US that came with the standard 17s.)

option code for the hollow spokes is M408; which corresponds to the code on my underhood options sticker.

cheers,
max

Technology = hollow spoke
Turbo Look = solid spoke

...................................Technology (hollow)..... Turbo Look (solid spoke)
8x18 ET52 (Front).......993.362.136.00.............993.362.136.01
10x18 ET40 (R-WB).....993.362.140.00.............993.362.140.03

Technology has a metal valve stem with a large visible mounting nut at its base against the wheel. Turbo Look has a rubber valve stem (which may, however, have a metal sleeve) which is recessed into the wheel so only a short length is visible.

Here's a pic of the inside of a Turbo Look wheel. Technology has a closed (hollow) spoke. If you reach inside & feel the pictured grooves, it's Turbo Look, if no grooves, it's Technology.

Once again, Rennlist comes through. This thread made me realize that my wheels are the technology hollow spokes and not the turbo look wheels I had thought. My Certificate of Authenticity reads "sport chassis with 18" pressure cast light alloy wheels." DUH! My wheels do not have the grooves as shown above. This is GREAT!
Thanks to all for providing such definitive info.
