Wow, four times the weight of the stock ****! You may want to re-fit the stock one and see if there is still a problem.

I don't know the numbers but the tecquipment **** on the 993 is significantly heavier than stock and is a massive improvement

The tecquipment **** is plastic with an alloy insert. It may be an improvement if you do not change gear quickly but for a fast change you need a light **** - see the balsa gear ***** used by Porsche and latterly Singer. A heavy alloy **** may look cool but there is a lot of mass to overcome when you want to move it.

Got under the car and the connection between the GR (forward rod) and the numeric are solid. I looked at the trans mount and it had some cracks. Will replace that and see if there is any improvement.

If no improvement, I will try the stock forward rod, then a lighter shift ****. hopefully It doesn't come down to removing the Numeric box.

You can't use the stock forward stabiliser rod with the NR shifter. Suggest you try:

a) fitting stock **** (easiest option)
b) replace the Goldenrod (if fitted) with the stock rod and retest

Hello Cobalt,

I might come back to you for purchase?
A month ago ii ordered a 964/993 short shifter and golden rod.
I need it for my conversion from C4 to C2.
After payment I got an order confirmation, but heared nothing ever since. No communication, no responce. Nothing.
I am very concerned that they are out of business.
As I live in Europe, I cannot check. Does anybody live in their area to check what is going on?

yes, I’m local in Tampa. They are probably just really backlogged. I was at their shop a few weeks ago. By the way they are coming out with their own golden rod replacement. All ball bearing based.

Thanks ACR,

Sounds a bit more reassuring.
The new golden rod is new to me. You think they would deliver the updated one to me?. Update is always better.
I am not in an extreme hurry, but hope we can cumunicate with the company in near future,

Picked up the replica teq **** and it still vibrates at high rpm. Will ditch the goldenrod and see how it goes. easy swap!

At Numeric today. They are getting caught up with the order backlog. Shifters as far as the eye can see. Also getting the prototype shift rod installed on my 993. Should be a big improvement over the golden rod. Zero play in this u-joint, and an easier length adjustment system.

How is the shifter with the prototype rod? I was glad the see the back log getting cleared up. I’ve been waiting a while for my shifter and golden rod.

I'd be interested in a Group Buy.
