Question Vacuum recommendation

I'm too broke to get the PSS-9s that I lust after, so this weekend I settled for washing and waxing the beast. My POS dust buster spreads more dust in the car than removes. What vacuum do you folks use on the car interior and are you satisfied with it?

I have an Electrolux canister with the 250 triple wound motor that I got at auction a few years ago. I've dropped about $3,000 for new carbon fiber bristles, a stainless steel hose with a teflon inner casing, needle bearing wheels/casters, polished exhaust ports and a Steve Weiner chip. As you can imagine, it sucks. I plan on taking it to the dump about four or five times a year, as my schedule permits.

Seriously, get any vacuum with a motorized upholstery brush. (I really do have an Electrolux.)

I got a 29.95 wet/dry shop vac with various attachments at Home Depot and it works great. Also can use as a blower (of clean air!) if that's how you like to dry your car.... or "sweep" the garage, or ...

My cheapie B & D wet/dry shop vac sucks better than my wife's Miele Turbo vacuum. A lot louder, too.

Must be the open exhaust.

I use an old Rainbow cannister style vacuum. The nice thing about the Rainbow is that it filters the dirt through water, so that absolutely no dust comes out. I think they're a couple thousand dollars new, but I picked this one up for $190 at a yard sale about ten years ago.

I use the largest Craftsman vacuum they make..mostly because I have it for my woodworking shop. Will suck up cats and small children...its great between the seats since you don't have to put the nozzle all the way to the bottom. It will also suck out coins that are under the emergency brake handle!!

Sears Shop-Vac. It's in the garage/shop already, and can pick up anything.

I also have an Electrolux and this has several attachments that work very well.

IMHO my Beam Central Vac.'s (garage outlet) with it's myriad of attachment tools works the best.
