Ended up picking up a pair of regular oem speakers from my local dealer, POTML today. Replacing the old ones took about 15 minutes. Old speakers were definitely very tired, and I’m back to listening to music. Now I’m wondering whether I should replace the fronts as well.
my fronts were as toasted as my rear speakers....luckily OEM from dealer were under $30 each versus $200 each for rear speakers with a cab...I Re-coned those for $50 total...as they run out of OEM Re-coming is good option if staying OEM..

If you have non hifi option, be very careful popping the front grills off. Over the years they've become brittle, and the OEM replacement is crazy high!
