Default Brian White's 993 GTR around Kyalami

A day or so ago I posted a 1/4 mile clip about this 993 vs M3. Here's the same car doing a lap around Kyalami. Brian is in his seventies btw.

In-car footage, Enjoy -

http://www.saracing.web.za/videos/145.zip (12.6MB)

And here are some photos I snapped. Brian is the guy in the drivers suit with his back to the car -

The GT2 that comes flying past right at the end is Heiner Zimmer -

Cheers,
Pierre.

damn pierre --

you always seem to provide us w/ so much eye candy! thank you.
is this footage of (inside) brian's car? he's in his 70's? damn... can you say paul newman? nice to hear & see him eating up pavement in his car! & that gt2 flying in kills me!!!
---from the looks of it, golf is not the only sport we can do later in life.... we can track p-cars too. i hope i'm so lucky.

btw: love the wild paint jobs & fitments on all the pics you attached as well. some really beautiful works of art.

cheers!

Pierre,

This pix you provided below.. I like the functional grill on the rear bumper! They will surely cool down the hot muffler I think, 'cause mine, having the norm enclosed bumper I can feel the fenders real hot after spirited runs.

24FPS -

it's always my pleasure to share the good things in life.

As for Brian, he is sugically precise and super fast. I've been on the same track in various cars and watched him in my mirrors, from behind, and even from trackside, this guy is so precise it's mind boggling. You could paint 1 x 1 quare foot on the track on his brake marker and he'll hit it lap, after lap, after lap...

In his seventies but he still turns in the quickest times. Good driver.

Mike -

I think there are oil coolers behind them vents. They're carbon fiber btw. So is most everything on Brian's car - Rear lid & wing, doors, hood, bumper covers etc.

I don't think you should be concerned about hot fenders. It's normal to get out of any track car and the fenders are so hot they'll almost burn you if you touch 'em.

But hey, what do I know?

I wonder who makes the bumpers. The nose looks interesting.

Sorry to hear about the accident and hope he recovers soon.

Right now is obviously not appropriate to ask. When Brian pulls through I'll try'in find out where the bumpers and nosecone come from.

Obviously. I did not mean to lessen his and his passenger's injuries. I do sincerely hope that they recover fully soon.
