Default 993 A Arm Swap program for new bushings

Has anyone used Carnewal 's (Gert) control arm swap for new front lower control arm bushings. They send you a used Arm with new Walrod bushings and when you return your A Arm then you receive back the core deposit. It sounds good to me but wondering if anyone has used this service and how it worked out for you?
Thanks!

Anything Gert does is top notch. zero concerns. Also Fister Motorsports will perform the same service. Another outstanding company.

Been a customer of both on other products/services and I too vouch for them. Wouldn't hesitate to use the service you mention.

Thank you for the references. As I understand it, FIster will do your Arm's bushings but they do not have a swap program. The swap is important for me because I do not have the ability to have my car sit unassembled while waiting for the Arms to be rebushed

I'll second Andreas particularly for the swap program as I ve seen his work (impeccable) and while we all know Gert to be legit the shipping has gotta kill it ...Bert

Another vote for Andreas. I’m actually installing arms from him this weekend.

Any tricks to load suspension and allow you to fit underneath to torque bolts?

I dropped the front end down on rhino ramps to load the suspension and then slid underneath.

On a side note, had Andreas do my bushings. Great service and super fast turnaround time. Highly recommend!

Agree. Resting the front wheels on ramps (or suitable equivalent) with the rear of the car on stands would be ideal. This would at least allow you to sufficiently snug the fasteners. Once on the alignment rack, ask the tech to loosen the control arm hardware in order for the bushings to find their neutral state.

Hi Andreas

Just wondering how you get the arms so nice. I’m in Australia so it is probably a bit cost prohibitive to send them to you otherwise I would.

I bought a pair of control arms that were done by Andrea. Honestly, I thought they were brand new. He's also extremely helpful.

Just had my arms done by Andreas. The pictures do not do justice to how good the arms look. He was very helpful with all advice, including bushing selection and then the install. Turned everything around super quick as well.

I ended up with Walrods and took the long way to get an alignment yesterday. What a difference.

Thank you Jerome. At some point years ago I lost track of how many sets I've rebuilt, but it's somewhere around 120 these days. Regardless, it's still a messy, loud and lengthy process each time.
