Default Toyo RA-1 vs. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup

Has anyone tried both of these tires on their 993? I've searched and found info on them individually, but nothing comparing the two. The last set of kumho victoracers I used only lasted 3 days, so I'm looking for more longevity. I understand they're both as fast or faster than the kumho. Any comments?

Thanks!
David

David,

From what I've read and heard, the MPSC's last a good, long time, with some people getting over 40+ heat cycles out of them. I think the RA-1's are supposed to be almost as good as the pricier MPSC's, with the latter giving slightly better lap times. However, allegdly, many of the local racers switched over to RA-1's in 2003 after Michelin dominated our market in 2002. At least that's what a local tire vendor said.

I have the MPSC's and love them. I also have a set of 17" RA-1's for rain tires but have never tried them.
