Thiat is a good looking 4S, probably low miles, who would be able to look at an interior like that for long ;-)

I think it's hideous! Resale must be tougher with a toothpaste-coloured set of seats. However, if the car is a good deal and checks out in every other way, factor in the cost of replacing it. Why not put lightweight GT3 seats in it and compare that cost with a similar car boasting a more acceptable interior...?

You may consider dyeing the interior to another color. Seems someone on this board did with excellent results. Check the colorplus.com site. Not easy, but a potential option. I would only do it if was able to buy the car for about 2K less than retail price. However if you think it is a color you can live with - fine. For example, I am not thrilled with black interiors, but would accept it if it was the right car. Good luck.

Hey Eric, I wouldn't call those chrome wheels conservative

In fact, they are pretty bling.

I'm pretty sure I've seen that color, and if I'm right, it looks much less bright than it does in the pictures. I remember liking it, and I don't know that I would have if it looked that loud in person. So, from memory, I thought the color is pretty cool. I also like it because it's different. As someone mentioned above, I think many RUF interiors are that color. I like it.

Jauder - you're right, but they came with the car. Are they that bling???? I've gotten used to them.

If you have to think about dyeing the interior, then you should pass on this car. There are a lot of other ones out there. I must admit, we're only looking at pictures, the interior may look different in person.

Years ago I saw this interior in a Slate Gray C4S and it looked hot. These pics seem to show brighter than what I remember. Maybe my memory is fading, ah ha ha ha, oh ho ho ho ho !!

Hey man, you've been looking for a car for over 15 months. What's the deal. Are you not finding any cars you like? Did you call Bill in Michigan this time?

Before I bought my classic/boring polar silver/black 993, I briefly considered a polar silver/nephrite green example and went through the sme questions you're going through. I asked a few friends and no one seemed too thrilled about it. That I had to ask should have been a sign for me, but I don't like to operate in a vacuum.

In the end, I worried about resale on the car and decided I couldn't stand looking at that green every time I drove the it. I am so glad I have a black interior. It seems very fitting for a Porsche, IMHO. All business, dark, stark and austere.

To Luis,

I spoke contacted Bill he did not know of any speed yellow C2S's without the aero kit...I have been looking for some time it is true...I am planning on going to Hershey in the hopes that I will find something there. During the course of my travels I have picked up the following: 97 TT arctic silver/boxster red (some pics posted on the 993 turbo forum) 88 Targa red/black (some pics posted on the 911 forum) and a 95 Riviera Blue Coupe pics coming here soon...all low mile mostly stock cars

in fact it is exactly what i want to buy for my next 911.
i would ditch the chrome wheels though for RUF's
- too bad i'm not in the market right now (have a 964 to fix)

Fugly IMHO and will likely hurt resale. But it is your car - buy it if you like it!
