Default Headroom

Hi everyone, I'm currently a 996 and 997 owner and am considering adding a 1995 C2 coupe. I saw a video wherein someone questioned how comfortable the 993 model is for tall drivers, say 6'3". Since the car I'm considering is not close enough for me to physically get in, can anyone answer whether the 993 model's headroom is any less than subsequent 911 iterations. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm 6'1" and perfectly comfortable driving my 993. Obviously not the right size to fit in the tiny backseats, but absolutely plenty of room in the front seats.

The only thing you might not like is the space for your left foot next to the pedals. Anyway, nothing a that a nice drive can't diminish

Optionman1, I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

The front seats can be remounted by using alternate holes in the seat rail perchs and will result in about an inch more leg room. No modifications involved just move the mounting cap screws.

Thanks everyone. I’ve only tracked my 996 4s once and with a helmet it was pretty snug. I enjoy spirited back road driving more and occasional outright speed on open interstates. 993, if purchased, might see a PCA HPDE event just to see if 2nd time sparks a flame the 1st one didn’t.

I am 6'3" and have a 32 inseam, so long torso........I have a few inches headroom in my cab ( not sure if it has more than coupe, but maybe others can answer), but fitting my legs under the steering wheel while cruising only works when depressing the clutch, brake or accelerator.......if you can sit in a 993 somewhere, you will have your answer as far as comfort while driving...

I have a 34 inch inseam and make it work. I mean I do think I slouch with the helmet on more for my own comfort. But normal driving, no issues at all.
