After I narrowed down the conditions that caused my misfire (sustained, steady operation above 3000 RPM) the Service Manager at my local dealer made a couple of calls. Sure enough, he found that there is a new control unit that specifically addresses the random misfire above 3K problem. We put the new cu in and it has worked great for a couple of weeks now.</strong><hr></blockquote>

This describes exactly a problem I've been having with my 96 Targa off and on for three years. Could you provide me with the name and number of your service manager, or do you know the Porsche part number of the new control unit?

Thanks in advance,

Mark Davison
