Post Carlsen Porsche vs Rector Porsche

I had my car smogged today at Rector. I know that I don't need to do it at a dealer, but I wanted to find out how their service was, just in case I need to do any more warranty work in the future.

I enjoyed going to Rector much better than Carlsen. It feels like they actually try to go the extra bit farther to make the customer happy. They exceeded my expectations.

I just wish that I took my car to them for my turbo "warranty" in the first place.

Oh well, live and learn. Thanks to this board, i've learned a lot without having to "live" through it and I'm trying to help others do the same.

Hey Jeff - as we are not supposed to discuss these things online <img src="graemlins/icon501.gif" border="0" alt="[icon501]" /> , you should talk to Michele sometime about her experience with Rector in regards to our 87 Carerra. Maybe they like people with big ticket Porsches better. By the way, we purchased our 87 from Rector as well.

I recognize that it's a bit of a crap shoot also.

I've had some other friends who swear that they won't go to Rector ever again. And others who absolutely love Carlsen and hate them too.

Perhaps when we meet up to do the switch install, I can ask Michele about her experience ( or should I say ORDEAL )..

Jeff
