The dealers have touch up paint for all the colors. I ordered one for my Polar Silver Targa...its matches fine and comes with paint and clearcoat.

Do they also have a 'touch up' paints in spray cans?

I'd like to paint my wheelarches (I cleaned them from the brake dust etc. and it made the paint to look faded).

You could get a body shop to make some up, but I suspect you would do more damage than good. It would be very difficult to match the color and texture. Have you tried using a hand compound on that area. That would probably bring bck the color and shine.

Thanks Mark,

Actually I'm pretty sure I'd be fine. I'm only painting those wheelarches from 'inside'.

I've painted cars, helmets etc. before so I'm not totally 'amateur'.

About using combound... I'm pretty sure, I cleaned those arches so hard that I actually rubbed the paint off a bit (it's still red but fading) but maybe I should try & 'buff' them first...

Bill-The dealership Porsche part numbers for the touch-up paint comes in two colors. The one I found closest is:911 095 933 20 92E. The other I tried was 911 095 933 20 92 T. Try the E code first. Both are the two bottle 12ml (Base and clear coat) kits.

Kim,

Porsche used or uses at least two different paint suppliers and you will find that even from the same supplier, there were a few different "batches" of the very same color.

I don't think this is correct within the same color and model year.

Eric,

What year was 92U effective from? To my knowledge, the Arctic silver code for 993, 986 and 996 through 2001 was 92T.
