Ahhh. Now I get it. I'm pulling the whole center stack out when I re-do the interior so its not worth fixing for now. Thanks for the info!

Be very gentle/careful taking out the plastic surround for the switches in the center stack. The clips that hold it in place break VERY easily.

Appreciate the help. My switch surrounds are beyond gone. I'm going to chop and rework the center console and the switches are all going into a rennline delete.
