The lucky car seems like a deal....
So when comparing identical 2s vs 4s, what is the premium for the 2s?

C2S was produced only as MY 1997-1998.
"One easily identifies the often "2S" called Carrera S by its black brake calipers and its divided lattice of the tail spoiler.
At that time, rather launched as a "savings model", is the often as "2S" dubbed Carrera S today the most sought variant and scored with lovers usually the better price. The Carrera S obtained, because it significantly differed from the mature concept of the turbo looks, consequently its own M-Code:495 = Carrera S. "

^^^^ He owns a black/black car, so presumable everyone should love that combo, I guess. Silver gets a "meh", so...
Porsche must have mistakenly made too much silver paint one day and rather than dispose of it decided to paint a bunch of 993's instead. I mean, it couldn't be that more people actually liked silver than black, could it?

My car is black on black. Absolutely love it however would take a Silver on Black in a heartbeat. Absolutely love silver on widebodies. Just accentuates the hips and lines. To me silver just looks right on German cars! Plus its so damn easy to keep clean!

There is insufficient info to say one car's condition is superior to the other.
But if the 40k odo WB went for $105k+, then one cannot say the 28k odo asking $99.5 is not an attractive value.

ppl really try to split hairs here - comparing rarity between 37XX produced and 69XX, these things were mass produced were not talking about 10, 20 or even 100 produced but thousands. Having owned both C2S and C4S I find very little difference between the two in street driving and track driving, better and worse drivers may beg to differ, of course. In the wet (most 993 owners wont drive when there's any moisture out anyhow) the 4S has a slightest edge in traction, but depends on tires and other things as well. Tell me you can feel the difference in the steering between them? negligible at best. Both are special cars, enjoy what you have and if your looking for one buy the best example you like of either.

Though 4S production numbers are much higher than S, but on an absolute basis that's peanuts.
Any presumption is nothing more than that, a presumption.
Now that you've read this far, don't want to leave you hanging w/o an answer: $1-3k S over 4S (manuals).
Again don't hold your breathe waiting to see such a scenario.

Totally Disagree with “Mass Produced.” 3k - 6k 2S and 4S WB cars produced during a few years is nothing compared to today’s standards of production and even starting with the Boxster in 1998 not including , that the 993s we also partially hand built cars unlike 1999 and forward Porsche went to full automation. The 993 will continue to rise and value and more and more people are taking notice to appreciate the build quality and character that will NEVER be produced again.

As for black interiors - the 928 board ruined it for me...had a guards red with black 928s...I thought that was "desirable" and yet it was like I had offended that board with the combo.
