Brake Caliper Colour Scheme
Folks, a question.. I inspected a 993 c4 the other day with Silver brake calipers. Mine are red and I have not seen any other colour. Is just affectation (the car was silver) or is there a graduated option range for the 993s identified by colour ? Anyone know ?

As far as I know - I may get this slightly wrong ......
Porsche will - for a fee - paint your calipers almost any color
But what you saw was one of the "standard" options for the Big Brakes fitted to these cars - being the usual red, black or silver - maybe also yellow, not sure.
I have seen (and driven at a track
) another C4S which also had the Big Silver calipers

I had a 95C4 with silver calipers (they looked great since they were on a silver car.) But on my 98C4S, I have the red calipers and I think red was the standard color for the "S" models.
