Yes.

If you look at the sills of the GT2 you will see that they are WB sills - the flared arch does not blend with the sill. The RSR sills are added to the NB and were designed to blend in with the flares.

So we will try today or Monday. Not sure what if anything will be read so we will see.

Surprisingly the car is fitted with stock heater boxes which aren't attached to anything. I would have expected that they removed the box and just left the headers but apparently not. These are the things you won't see on the campaigned cars I suspect. I always find these little nuances interesting.

Any idea if that is a stock cat? If so, any more details on the rest of the exhaust (mufflers)? It sounds lovely. Of course recordings are always subjective but it seems like a deeper, less "raspy" tone than my Fister 3's w/ stock cats. (Not to describe the Fister 3's as raspy but purely in comparison to this setup and recording, that was the best way I could put it).

Obviously that's a UK car - how did you get hold of it?

And the video is shot on some roads I know very well, in the South Downs on a road that leads to Goodwood.

This car is also running a wider tire than the RS with 235/295 combo same as I use on my 94 turbo.

g50/34 compared to the other /3x's

looks like the front brakes are the optional 380x32 rotors

I see what you mean. I did speak with my friend and I was mistaken as you point out. I know a lot about the 964 3.8RS/RSR but very little about these and was surprised to see some things. Now I know what to look for.

As far as I can see there are many street car items that remain. Which surprises me. Some things I found peculiar but cool it retains the ventilation suitcase but doesn't have a CCU. I did not see switches to make it run but could be wrong about that. Also rear lower lid latch is retained but upper removed. Thin glass on the doors. Which is DOT approved but never came to the US. Also full door cards RS style.

No cats at all just the single OBDI style muffler with X pipe/Bischoff flanges and center O2 sensor followed by a swans neck style exhaust pipe. Sound is amazing

I want to thank ToSi and Bill V for the info on the transmission.

The rest is very interesting to see. The factory loved to use multiple 044 fuel pumps. These using a y connector. I find it a bit dangerous if one fails it could be game over with reduced fuel flow. But pump technology has improved since then. I don't see anything unique about the brake or ABS but have no idea if the controls are different. The factory camber plates which are copied by Tarett with some modifications.

Engine with ITB's and what looks very similar to the early 996 cup cars but uses a cast cross over pipe vs plastic. I see some 95 or earlier 964 bits like the cover over the fan housing for the spark plug wires, Bischoff exhaust, single O2 and OBDI

Now I see where Clewett got his pulley design from.

A truly amazing time capsule. Something you don't get to see everyday up close.

The 993RSR motor came right out of the 964 3.8RSRs, It's all pretty much the same

The DME is the same OBD1 as used in all the other row n/a 993s but w/ a special chip that used MAP, T/p and temp sensors for control data

optional 380mm front brake setup

rocker setup w/ adjustment caps

Loks like it has the optional remote reservoir Bilsteins

It's the stock 993OBD1 cat case for sure, some were hollowed out and some replaced w/pipe. It depended on the race venue

Thank you for taking time to share pictures.

Does anyone know more about the shifter assembly used on this car? The shifter rod itself does not look like flat stamped steel at the base which suggests it is different from the RS and GT2. The height and **** look optimal.

Looks great Tony awesome ride can't say enough about how cool these are but for the life of me it looks like a '95 ...particularly with the one O2 and the split cat. Also the round diagnostic and ObD 1 is a sign right ..
My RS engine has the single O2 and the straight pipe .
i am sure the sound is intoxicating withe the super up pipes this thing has just howls thanks for posting ..Bert
