yup...a bit sore in the fore arms and I think I got a bit of a shin splint from pushing in the clutch pedal (I've driven trucks with easier clutch pedals). I loved following that GT2...WOW! It felt like I was sitting on the deck of an aircraft carrier watching naval jets take off!! Scary fast!!

Steve... Nah, I'm not hitting on you... I just want a ride in your Turbo
I'm not sounding too much like mother superior right now am I?

David... I REMEMBER YOU!!!! We did go on a lot of fun runs together. I really do miss the Southern California Porsche scene. Sometimes I just can't help but wonder what's this Southern California born and raised girl doing in Arkansas? Anyway, Brace's worked on our 911 and we were very happy with the results.... Watch out for those honking big SUV's!!

More pictures please! I want to feel homesick!

As for the question about me getting gas, yes, I got some gas. I went to a guys house who runs a 944 Turbo tuning company (www.gururacing.net) and got a set ot chips, upgraded wastegate, and a 3 bar feul pressure regulator installed. (I'll be dynoing it for him, thats how I got it) Man, that car is fast now, and I had the boost turned down a bit from what the chips will be running in a few days (18 psi from 12)

Default the bad pictures of the day...

this happend on the way home from the santa barbara drive, actually, right as I was driving up my street, very lucky it didnt happen on the run!

I've had a little leak caused by the intercooler hose that comes of the turbo for a few days now, its just loose, and suddenly the car started really showing it wasn't happy with nearly no boost and a weird noise that was clearly the turbo. I thought it was just cause the hose had been blown off a bit more and a lot of boost was escaping. (which is part of the case) but When I pulled it off, there was metal shavings in there. (best feeling in the world when you see that! ) so I took apart the intake system, and when I pulled the J-pipe off, a nut fell out, and into the abyss of the engine bay. I take a gander at the turbo fins, and what a more welcoming sight then this: (notice the nut missing off the center of the fins)

Eyal,

OUCH! Glad you were able to make it home OK. What is your plan for replacement? Be sure you're up and running for the June 5th event... we need all the SoCal Rennlisters we can get!

A group of us retraced our route back to Malibu, missed all the traffic fun on the 101. At the 23 we took Mulholland down to the coast. Whoa! GT2 go VERY fast!

Hey, who was it that wanted to sell me their CDR 210 (radio with in dash CD)? PM me.

Well, for now, since I am limited on funds, I'll be buying another K26/6 off a fellow rennlister, installing that and cleaning everything from turbu, through intercooler hose, intercooler pipes, intercooler, throtle body, and intake manifold. I'll probably stick a magnet into the combustion chambers just to pull out anything that possibly made it down there. I will be ultrasonically cleaning the intercooler, the rest with some laquer remover and brake cleaner. It will be up and running for june 5th. Just waiting on the turbo to come. Once I have the turbo, everything should be clean already, and I can put it all back together in a couple hours. They kicker here is I stayed in santa barbara after everyone left to install a set of 18 psi guru chips, a guru wastegate, and a 3 bar fuel pressure regulator. I had a tiny tase of it on the drive home. Now I know I have about 260 hp to the wheels to play with, and I can't! I'll have it back together soon.

I cant beleive you guys went without me!!
But it lookedlike great fun. I am sitting in the
Mammoth Library seeing what I missed!
I love that shot on the on ramp with a
gazillion Porsches!! Its like 60 here -snow drifts
up to 10 feet but melting fast. Yesterday I though
we were having an earth quake but it was the roof
shedding 6 tons of snow. Very distrubing! supposed to
snow tommorow. My TT is in my garage at home and there
is nary a porsche up here!! what gives!! I need an oil fix!
Terry Adams where are you when we need you!!
Missed you guys and that drive looked great.
and I needed a deal on a volvo XC90!
Sorry Phil!
