Finally managed to find someone to do dry ice cleaning. The result are simply astounding. This is definitely something to consider if you want to give the car a clean, fresh factory look.
My 1996 Arena Red 993 C4S matches underneath the front bumper as the one noted above Nuthingbutgt3 has provided. I recently replaced my 6 washers and per Sunset those are 944 part numbers. Good luck with your project!
I expressed the same concern, but the shop is adamant they got the right colour. It looks like this in natural light, which seems right and it shows the blue hue of Polar Silver
In the initial spirit of this post, what about this spoiler? On what cars is it used? I have a euro turbo front bumper and I don't have this piece installed. But I've not come across an image of it in place..??
If you have a turbo bumper, it should be used. If it is missing, either someone did not add the part when adding the turbo bumper. Or if your car came with the turbo bumper from factory, it may have been removed and someone forgot/lost the part when they put the bumper back on.
Mine was also missing, as was the similar rear support bar that goes on the bottom of the rear bumper between the muffler cut-outs.
@boomboomthump Thanks a lot, that's kind of what I was thinking, but it's odd that none of the replies to the initial question show the part being used. I do have the metal bar that's riveted on to the bottom of the bumper cover, so this goes over it or?
I think there's some confusion. There is no "metal bar". If you have the piece that looks like what is on the arena red car above, you have what you need.
There are three rivets that attach it to the bumper (the three you see in the middle). The other two "wings" are on the backside of the bumper, out of view.
The yellow car has a turbo S front lip, which covers this piece. You can faintly see some of it on the yellow car.
OK, so it's either/ or? Or both the Turbo and the Turbo S use this piece under the bumper cover? I have what the Arena Red has. It's an aluminum part riveted on at three places. But I do not have this part under.. So I don't need both?
The part I posted is what is on the Arena Red car. There is no "metal part". The only part that exists is the one I posted. All turbo bumpers should have it.
The Arena Red car has it. You can see it in the photo. As mentioned previously, the large section with the three holes is what is exposed and mounted to the bumper with rivets. The ends of this part tuck behind the bumper out of sight when looking from underneath.
The yellow car also has this part on it, however, the turbo S front lip covers the whole bottom of the turbo bumper, including this part in question and the four center screws actually screw into this part. The reason there is four screws is so they are offset from the 3 rivets and do not interfere with them.
Lastly, I'll add that this part is largely rubber (PUR). Inside the middle section there is a thin piece of sheet metal but the whole thing is very flexible (it is not plastic). An older one may be hardened from age.
