Unhappy oil leak in TT

The last couple of weeks i've noticed a few drops of oil on the floor which appear to be coming from the left side of the engine. The car runs fine. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I've been idling in the garage for a minute at the end of a run to cool off the turbos. Is this oil something I should worry about?

I hope that it isn't a leaking turbo..

Check out some of my previous posts and my TT smoking from one side.

satchy,

It's most likely a valve cover seal. This is not a big deal. Talk to you favorite shop, probably about $300-$500.

You may want to remove the engine tray and take a look underneath. My TT turned out to have a valve cover gasket leak. The replacement gasket is inexpensive but there are a lot of labor hours involved.

If you have the Porsche preowned warranty, this repair is covered. I had mine replaced last week.

By the way, you cannot go wrong idling the car to cool down the turbos. I have had turbo engines (not always Porsche) for years......using this practice and changing oil frequently, the last one went over 175,000 miles before requiring servicing.
