Default What is it?

Does anyone have the part number for the clips that are used with the half-turn srews to attach the engine and transmission covers? TIA

Thanks Max but I have already tried that number.

The piece I am looking can be seen just below the air clearer under the middle spark plug. I am guessing the clip is 3/4" square.

it takes a speednut #

if it looks like the ones on the engine tray....that's what you need.

the part you have and that i posted is actually the spring clip that keeps the screw from falling down/out when you loosen it to remove the cover. ooopps.

Max, Dudley, thanks!
One of my transmission cover Dzus bolts doesn't seem to catch. Does it mean that I can use the clips from the now-removed engine cover to attach transmission cover bolts?

Mike, if the square speed nut is still there, but the screw won't catch, just bend the top tab of the speed nut down a bit. i had to do that to one of mine.

Mike,

BTW, I like your idea of "use the clips from the now-removed engine cover to attach transmission cover bolts". I did and it works. Though being a bit ****, I also order replacements for the engine cover which is sitting in my attic.
