Default Lots of blue smoke

While driving in traffic the other morning the car made a strange sucking noise and then smoke just starting pouring out the back. The motor sounds fine no bad noises. Have done a leak down test and found all were within spec. pulled off the intake manifold and it is FULL of oil. took off the mufflers and there is oil dripping out of the cat. The car was running for a good hour and half before this started, Had a look inside the valve covers and found nothing!! any ideas?

Had that happen to me in my 89 911. I had overfilled the oil during a change and when the oil expanded the engine sucked it up.Really ugly smoke. No damage except to my ego.

hmmm. just so you know - it can be warm but the hotter it gets the more the oil expands. couple more questions?

Take out your intake apart and see if there is oil in it?
What does the guage read when you are flat, idle and the car very warmed up (20 mins after starting)?

Cheers,
Boris
