DJ, I'm right there with you. My New Year's resolution is not to spend any more on mods to this car, however small ... just routine maintenance for me!!
Amir, the car came from the factory with tons of carbon fibre. If you can believe it, according to the original bill of sale, this car was originally sold at Vasek Polak in CA for $121,000 (of course I paid nowhere near that as the second owner). The bezels are chrome overlays from FVD.
Steve, the wheel is made by a German company ATIWE and is sold in various forms/colors by FVD. One can even get custom colors for the handgrips. I've seen red, blue, and carbon fibre grips which look quite nice. I think AJ USA sells a version of the same wheel. I'm very happy with it.
Regards,
John,
I agree that the steering wheel looks great. My car is Classic Gray interior, but I always thought the factory wheel should be black to match the steering column and the dash.
Did you install the wheel and was it a difficult procedure?
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply and the additional photos. I have never cared for the stock 993 steering wheel. It looks out of place. I just haven't found a wheel (till seeing your pics) that looked like it belonged in the car.
I spoke to AJ-USA yesterday and they have the steering wheel (yours)in stock. They will install the crest and ship it out today. My car is in the shop anyway for (early) spring tune-up, so I'll have them drop-ship it to them for install.
Can't thank you enough for the reply and great photos.

Thanks again for the compliments, guys. Poor me, I'm "stuck" up in Vermont on a dial-up connection (I sympathize with those of you stuck with that every day); but the trade-off is two feet of snow on the ground ... going x-country skiing shortly.
Danny, that is one good-looking interior; your steering wheel and shifter are terrific. I also like your throttle pedal, which one is that? I swore to my wife I would spend no more on this car ... but one little additional pedal wouldn't be so bad, would it? (Eric -- you're right, it never ends). I have the wings pedal now, but Danny yours appears to have some sort of width extension on the top.

The pedal set is from Vosstek, the said pedal I do not think is offered anymore, they also have a wings type pedal offering now.

Have just installed almost exact steering wheel to my '97 carrera 4 and you are right about the airbag warning light!!!
I'm NOW told that the way around this without having to reset the ECU after fitment, is to disconnect the battery before you remove the airbag and then reconnect after the new steering wheel has been fitted.
This way, the ECU recognises the new airbag and 'voila' the airbag light stays out!!

or is that overlay? Either way, looks TRICK and I like the chrome surrounds too. You can never have too much carbon fiber.
