I use Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba and finish off w/ Meguiar's Quik detailer.
Frankly if you have a non-dark color car, most brand name stuffs will suffice; unless you're gunning for concur results which most of us aren't.

Also like Seal'n Shine but that's for the SUV and Van (mainly because it's time saving).

I have a black 993 as well and have done a multi stage paint correction and ceramic coating on it myself. The paint on the 993, especially black, is soft and if you are not cleaning it correctly it will leave very noticeable swirl marks. If you do not correct those swirl marks ceramic coating will simply make them more pronounced and then make it impossible to get them out unless you polish past the ceramic coating. So my advice would be to watch plenty of detailing videos, buy some quality products from Griots or perhaps Obsessed Garage (tons of videos) or pay someone to detail it correctly and apply a ceramic coating. Also ceramic coating can be easy to apply but it unforgiving if you do it wrong. Not the worst thing in the world but I have a couple of spots where I was not careful and it dried to look like a wet smudge mark.

A car with ceramic coating is so much easier to care for as well. I simply hose mine off, spray foam it, hose it again and use a blower to dry it off. I try not to ever touch the paint, even with my expensive towels as the paint is just that soft on these cars and black shows EVERYTHING.

I'm beginning to think that I should get the car professionally detailed first and then have the detailer apply ceramic coating on the car.
I am concerned that I may damage the paint, especially since I have never used a buffer before.
I don't want to be penny wise and dollar foolish.
I will look at the videos to get an understanding what must be done.
I will also need a professional detailer to prepare the paint and after preparation, apply the ceramic coating.
I haven't looked at the videos.
Are detail shops equipped to apply the ceramic coating or is the coating a different specialty?
I used RAGGTOP to condition the convertible top and Leatherique on the interior.
My car is black and a cabriolet.
Thank you.

I use Chemical Guys Hybrid V7 Optical Select Quick Detail Spray after each wash. Have used most products over the years, but switched to their products couple years ago. They have a lot of great video's they post up on their product and most are available on Amazon.
