purchasing Michelin Sport Cups - should I heat cycle?
Good day All! I'm usually a fan of heat cycling tires (Kumho Victoracers..), and am wondering if I should consider the same procedure for the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires? If I don't have to, all the better..
If I don't heat cycle, what's the best way to prep the tires prior tracking them?
TIA and Merry Christmas everyone!

I'll take new track tires out for as brisk and twisty a drive as possible to get them heated up, then back home, pull 'em off, and they're all set to go when needed.

Gladly. Send me a private e-mail and let's figure out when to meet!

I didn’t heat cycle mine and they have lasted a very long time. I have over 23 heat cycles on them and they are hardly half worn. Unless you are going to a race, I would not bother shaving them either. Michelin’s documentation indicates that the tires are faster when shaved, but if you are only doing DEs, you might consider just buying them as they come. All race tires last longer if properly heat cycled and I am not convinced that you can properly heat cycle them on the street, however; I am not sure that Tire Rack’s heat cycling is the same as doing it on the car either. If your experience is anything like mine, you will be extremely impressed with what the tires can do and how well and long they can do it.
Merry Christmas,
Hank
