'Twas just a guess. With my luck, I've probably underpriced that, too.

I agree. I found that I was just thinking of projects for the car rather than driving it. I almost bought a set of 996TT wheels for it, because I thought they looked fantastic on some of the Bay Area cars I've seen on the board recently. I almost went with a Ruf conversion. But after pouring in over $12,000 in mods after buying it, I thought, among other things, it's time to give it a rest and start fresh, look for new inspiration.

What about when we hit the twisties? Maybe you could be the safety car.
If you bring the Sequioia, can I put my car in the back of your cab, it would help keep the miles down.

Sure that's a DIY! Just a century ago, such surgery was performed at home, solely with the aid of Jack Daniels.*

John,

Sorry to hear that you have decided to sell your beautiful car... I am sure OldGuy will keep the stories coming. He is already plotting his next modifications so he will have more stories from ViperBob's place....

Good luck with the sale.....

Bob, perhaps if you lived out this way my decision would have been different (how's that for guilt). I know you'll keep the fires burning.

Spread the word about the car.

John one other thing. your pic helped me decide what wheels
I want---YOURS!! Those are the first ones I have seen on a TT.
thanks. I could be sheltered but its the first time I have seen them
on the car I have admired them on others!
however it will be awhile before those go on mine.
I have more investing to do in the Official ViperBob retirement fund
first!!

Good choice with the wheels, Old Guy. In comparison with many other wheels available, the Gemballa Competitions are very very light.

Wow!!! I've only seen your car once but as you know I was very very impressed. I wish I was in the market - but it's too soon for me. Best of luck you have priced it very aggressive.

Don't be a stranger but I know we will see you soon.

John, best wishes on the sale of your car

To be honest with you, I was really really tempted (by your car)... until the thought of asking my wife about it entered my mind and whoooshhhh back to the C4S, pin

Pin,

You want me to talk to Mini for you? I have plenty of practice pleading with wife since you got me into this fix.

I have a hunch that Mini is much easier than Margaret on this sale.

John - great car. I'd be interested if I didn't have one nearly identical to it! Except mine doesn't have those marvelous Gemballa wheels. Hmmmmmm maybe another mod??? No, better not. Well good luck on the sale. I'll pass the word as well.

24FPS, BobbyB, Pin, CP, and Eric, thanks for the well wishes. It's been an amazing ownership experience, I expect the next owner (whoever that may be) to thoroughly enjoy it just as much. Ideally, I'd like it to go to a Board member, but we'll see. It's not sold yet, so feel free to talk it up to interested persons.
