That would be great!
I will never take the 993 to a track or autocross and most of my driving is urban SF or the occasional spirited drive. To be clear, the 993 is my 3rd 911 in the stable and will probably be used for weekend drives here and there. All out handling is less important than having a taut but comfortable ride.
My current suspension (original Monroes + US springs) with 58K miles soaks ups bumps well but on smoother roads feels a tad “wallowy” for lack of a better term.

You have the answer to the question .
I chose, as I mentioned before in this thread, the ROW Turbo M030 because I enjoyed driving through serpentine mountain roads (Routes ?) at speed limits.
Moreover, even if I did not track the car, my main global driving was on highways in Europe, and flooring the pedal on highspeed Alpine hairpin turns was my sin.
However, for Urban, I would go your choice of OEM M033 ROW, and any other brand would be harsher than this setup I presume
Foremost, I would kill for a solid RUF style strut bar, for any setup on a 993. This yells TAUT and has nothing to do with harsh.
Alignment Alignment Alignment, triple check toe-in figure after alignment.
I did alignment myself, so I used to take the car out of the alignment lift, go for a ride, and recheck toe-in. Soemtimes, THREE times.
My sweet spot was +5 ish front, as in factory specs. Wallow Zero after that.
regards

Will the car have a rake if I install M033s and Koni Special Actives? Are those Koni's adjustable for corner balancing and achieving the correct rake etc?
The car's current ride heights are about 164mm front and 144mm rear, which is a bit of a mystery. Prob just age sagging on orig suspension.

What I've learned so far:
- Porsche green strut/shocks are Bilstien B6 units with a nice green paint job to look like the original Monroes the cars were built with.
- They are too long for M033s and the springs will float. In my case, off and out of the upper spring mount completely. I'm not into the tying up springs thing and having a suspension that disassembles/reassembles as I drive around bends.
- Porsche is not also offering a B8 unit painted nice green, to work with M033 and M030 springs.
- I will likely just go to Bilstien B8's and P can have these pretty green B6's back. Sadly.
The ride is pretty stiff (for me) but not too stiff, on the M033s. I would have them softer, but I'm not into driving race cars around LA streets. I feel like they'll soften up with some time a bit as well. Very glad I didn't try the M030 as I surely wouldn't have liked those.
Does anyone have an orig euro parts book or know what these cars came with when shock/struts they were built for EU sale or otherswise with the M030 or M033 springs?

Thanks wicks. I’m surprised to hear that the m033s float with the Porsche Classic Greens. I’ve seen a few folks in the forum do that setup. Was this from your personal experience installing this setup? Perhaps m033 with Porsche Classic Red then?

What’re classic reds? Haven’t seen those, are they B8s with red paint?
Being done by a pro, they were supposed to be compat and keep hearing people run this setup without float, but it seems impossible. Most people probs have them tied up and just don’t notice the float maybe? I didn’t even drive her very hard as also breaking in new tires and brakes, by time I got home front springs we’re off the upper mounts jammed sideways.

The red classics are the “sport” version of the Classic shocks that are paired with the m030 springs.
Both greens and reds aren’t just painted b6 and b8s, though everyone loves spreading that rumor They are tuned differently for the 993. Whether they’re worth the money is surely debatable.

Interesting - I wonder what the length difference in the Sport/Red version of the shocks is and the damping rate(s).
Maybe someone has a chart that compares specs of B6, B8, P green and P red? Travel, compression and rebound damping rates etc?
I'm only saying it's a Bilstien because it says so on the invoice which is on P letterhead...

You’re right that the Classics are made by Bilstein. They are just tuned a bit softer for the 993.

Koni FSD's might also be my solution - softer than Bilstien B8s? But are they shorter, so as to avoid the float issue? Trying to decide which setup is the right one to rebuild the suspension with (again) now:

or

Also looking to confirm the M033 front springs should have two blue dots?

These guys seem to sell a ton of the m033 + Koni kits. Maybe give them a call to confirm.
