Would love to go but I'm still reassembling the 993. Hopefully next time.

Looking forward to it. Haven't been to one of these swap meets. Anything good in your experience?

For many years we have had Porsche Swap Meets, originally at Carlsen Porsche Audi, then Parts Heaven in Hayward, the Parts Heaven closed and so did the swap meets. Last year I decided it was time restart them again, found David Modderman was willing to let us use his parking lot. Last year we had 43 sellers, displays by Elephant Racing and The Renn Shop, not bad under the restrictions of Covid. This year we have a few less sellers, 32 so far, as some have gone to Parade or have conflicts.
It has always been a combination social event and parts sales, many of the people have know each other for years, lots of information can be had, very important these days of limited vintage Porsche shops and parts. Being that there have been more than a few people passing away and their parts are back in circulation you never know what will show up. Mostly for vintage era cars, as the new ones don't have many who work on them. 356, 914, 911/912, up thru to about 2002 or so seem to make up most of the parts. Some Boxster, and a few Cayenne, parts too.
Stop in check out Modderman's shop he had 6 993s yesterday some will still be there. Not many shops want to work on them, Custom Alignment is also there too, and they also do 993 suspension. Elephant will be back too.
