The "small" tool is the sunroof emergency bit that fits onto the crank handle. The wool pad??no idea. I have never seen a bolt, rubber bushing and wing nut, it maybe an expansion type stopper/plug.

As long as the topic of authenticity: what key case or fob did the 993s come with? I talking the leather ones, the earlier 911s had pouch style cases, but when the 1996 came out with the remote fob or switchblade key they won't fit into the pouch. I see that there are cases being sold as for 928s, a longer leather pouch. I heard from some that the small tag with a metal crest were what was supplied. The 996 and later had different key/remotes. Just curious, as to what might be original.

The small wool pad was for cars that had the optional decorative aluminum door sill trims that said “Carrera” or “Turbo” etc…..the pad is to remove minor scuffs if you rubbed in the direction of the grain

mr.rpm, thanks for the info on the wool pad, my 993 has them but were either dealer or PO installed, and no pad.

Makes sense. Good to know! I have the aluminum 4S door sill trim. Appreciate the insight.
