993 Jacks
I find that there are 2 types of jacks supplied with 993s.
1- Narrow body (NB) jack, single arm lever, No. 000.721.711.02
2- Wide body jack (WB), scissors type, No. 000.721.711.05
The scissors jack was succeeded at the time of Boxster/996 with No. 996.721.211.00
The color of the felt bag for the scissors jack does not appear to have a pattern, but includes green, orange, yellow, red.
The 993 jacks were placed in the spare tire and managed to perforate the felt bag often.
A foam donut insert in the spare tire to hold the scissors jack began with the Boxster.
Images follow.

Could you tone-down the size of some of those images please? My computer just exploded
Here is my 1996 C2 ROW tool roll. I also have the tow-hook but it's in the car.
Weight of what you can see is 1684g

Burning Brakes
As often said before, the quality of some of the OEM tools in the 993 kits, like the potentially dangerous scissors jacks, although well-packaged and sort of cute, is not good. Same with OEM air compressors They fit well within the donut tire wheel, look good, help in resale, but that's about it.

Authentic Tool Kits
There is a new website about tool kits, it's in the formative stages and input is greatly appreciated. https://www.originalporschetools.com
Abraham has been involved in Porsche for may years and has had the best of the best, he's in Texas, and wants to extend the knowledge of tool kits for all models.
Take a look and contribute what you have and subscribe to his newsletter. You will see a start of the 993 tools listing and photos.

Hi Zed, Abraham is wanting any information on tool kits basically Pre-2000/Air-cooled. I hope the interest increases in the tools from the 90's cars, so far there seems to very little information. Maybe it's time to buy up all that you can find, 964 and 993. My friend went to a wrecking yard where they has coupe of 964 and bought a dirty but complete 964 kit for $100.
I'm looking for a bulb kit like the one pictured, has a cover flap with a Porsche logo on it. Only seen this photo, but understand it may have been available in the late 90's.

Mine is 1996, production date 03 February 96, delivery date 29 March 1996. I kept thinking “well it’s going to be expensive to replace my missing tools” but I think based on this thread and the original Porsche tools web site, this is actually a complete kit for a 1996. Not shown is the “intermediate piece” which fits on the end of the crank handle for emergency sunroof operation.
Somewhere in the mists of time there is a person at the Factory who knows the logic of what tools were included in what years and for what reason. Why would they omit the spark plug tool and Klein wrench for that in 1996, but put it back in 1997?

My 1997 C4S was built in 8/96. I’m the 2nd owner since 2003. The car was complete when purchased. Porsche cutback on the tools as the years progressed. My 1990 C4 has a much more extensive tool kit. Below is the 1997 kit. There are a couple loose items I have no idea why they are there. Plastic large spacer? Wing nut with a bolt?
Also, my lug nut key has a couple items in the bag. Small tool and a sealed steel-wool pad. No idea why? They are in a Porsche labeled bag.
